WHAT SERVICES DO YOU PROVIDE?
Live Band or Solo Musician Hire providing covers of popular African origin music genres. Single musicians up to full band.
Genres include Funk, Jazz, Soul, AfroBeats, Music of West Africa, Gospel, HipHop/Rap, R&B, Reggae, Dancehall, Soca, UK originally performed by your favourite well known artists.
Live PA hire and DJ services coming soon.
Weddings, Destination Weddings, Corporate Events, Charity Events, Community Events, Multi-Zone Festivals,
TV & Film Production, Public Parties, Private Parties, Black-Tie Events, Launch Parties, Artist Gigs, Dinner Parties, BBQs, Restaurants, Bars & Pubs.
HOW DO I CONFIRM A BOOKING?
If you would like to book a band or Musician, we will need your contact details along with the venue address.
We will then send over a contract with full terms and conditions included.
This will then need to be signed and returned to confirm the booking. A deposit of 20% will be also be required, this is payable by BACS. An invoice with payment details will be included with the contract.
WHATS THE NAME OF THE BAND?
Our bands operate under the brand of HSKT®️ therefore we don't focus on naming. As a customer, you have the option of naming the band yourself, or we can choose a name suited for your function. Our default option is HSKT®️ bands.
HOW LONG CAN I BOOK A BAND FOR?
It depend on the event really,
Single musicians up to and including full bands can be booked for along as required however the general rule is;
1x 60 min set
1x 45 min set + 15min break + 1x 45 min set
MIN 1 Hour

WHAT SIZE EVENTS CAN YOU PROVIDE A LIVE BAND FOR?
Small to medium sized function PA capacity anything up to and around 500 persons.
HOW MUCH ADVANCE NOTICE BEFORE MAKING A BOOKING?
Contact us to make a booking at any time, we maybe able to accommodate your immediate needs.
DOES THE PRICE QUOTED INCLUDE TRAVEL COSTS AND EXPENSES?
All quotes include travel expenses. If you can provide refreshments at the venue we can deduct this cost for you.
ARE THERE ANY HIDDEN FEES SUCH AS VAT?
No, all fees such as VAT are included in the price.
WHAT ABOUT EXPLICIT LYRICS?
Substantially explicit song lyrics are typically redacted from our pre-arranged set lists. Covering clean versions or instrumental versions where it is impossible to redact. This so everyone can enjoy the music. However please manage expectations, Urban music is expressive in some cases there may be metaphorical use of or suggestions of an explicit nature. Full instrumental sets also available.
DOES THE BAND PROVIDE THEIR OWN PA SYSTEM / SOUND EQUIPMENT?
Yes, all bands are self-contained and provide suitable sound equipment.
DO WE NEED TO HIRE A RAISED STAGE?
A stage is always a great addition to a performance but is not a requirement.
IS THE BAND PAT TESTED WITH ADEQUATE PUBLIC LIABILITY INSURANCE (PLI)?
Yes, if the venue requires a certificate for either of the above, please let us know at time of booking.
WHAT TIME WILL THE BAND ARRIVE?
You can hire a band for anytime however we will usually arrive and set-up from 5:30pm-6pm onwards. For weddings, this means they're ready to set up as soon as the wedding breakfast and speeches are finished. With other events, we will always set up and sound check before guests arrive. If you require us to set up earlier in the day an additional fee may be required.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE THE BAND TO SET UP?
Most bands will set up in around 90 minutes. This will vary depending on the size of the band and event.
HOW LONG ARE THE INTERVALS?
The intervals are usually around 15-20 minutes long but this can say depending on the booking type or event.
WHAT TIME SHOULD THE BAND START PLAYING?
This is completely up to you and your schedule on the day.
WILL THE BAND LEARN A SPECIFIC SONG TO BE PLAYED AT OUR EVENT / WEDDING?
CAN WE CHOOSE THE SET LIST?
We offer two main options for set choices.
1. Choose from the pre-arranged set lists 2. Create a custom set list of songs from our extensive artist list.
Bear in mind that most bands will alter their set to suit the audience reaction.
DOES THE BAND PROVIDE MUSIC BETWEEN AND BEFORE SETS?
Yes, our bands are happy to provide music via an iPod/iPad between sets, this is usually a pre-mixed playlist. If you have particular songs in mind, you're also welcome to create your own playlists which can be played through the band's PA system.
WHAT WILL THE BAND WEAR?
Our bands will typically dress smart in suits or casual shirt and trousers/skirts. If you have a particular request let us know. If you require a specific attire/look this can be arranged for an additional fee.
WILL THE BAND REQUIRE REFRESHMENTS?
We politely request that the band is provided with free soft drinks throughout their stay at the venue and a meal, usually after they've set up. Most bands will leave for the event mid-afternoon and will often arrive home early hours of the morning so a hot meal is always greatly appreciated. If refreshments are provided for the band, we can deduct this cost from the total booking.
WILL THE BAND REQUIRE A DEDICATED / SECURE SPACE AT THE VENUE?
Yes, the band will ideally need a secure area / room to store personal belongings, refresh, eat or discuss the set if necessary.
